I never liked being forced to speak their rotten language and would console myself speaking to them on equal terms my own tongue to their own consternation. Yes, I was born in this group of islands called the Philippines and, by law, am a Philippine citizen who don't want to speak Pilipino. I speak Sugbuanon. I am part Malay race, part Basque and part Chiricahua.
